Support Educator at Televägen 1

Do you want to work closely with people while having a clear mission to develop quality and methods? We are now looking for a support educator at Televägen 1.

YOUR ROLE

As a support educator, you have specialized skills and an extended responsibility within the workgroup. You serve as a support for colleagues in creating a holistic view of the individual, focusing on development, participation, and coordination. In addition to the responsibilities and tasks that are part of the assignment for all employees, you systematically work to ensure quality and develop the operations from both an individual and group perspective.

You contribute pedagogical depth to the work, support in methodological questions, and ensure that implementation plans, documentation, and methods maintain high quality. In your daily work, you are close to the users and combine pedagogical support with lighter care tasks. You are a role model in interaction, structure, and professional approach, contributing to a safe and developing work climate.

At the same time, a specialist nursing assistant is being recruited. Together, the idea is for you to form a team focused on quality and development in the operations.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in the field, corresponding to at least 200 YH points or 60 higher education credits focused on disabilities. Your education should have a clear connection to work with intellectual, cognitive, or mental disabilities and may include ethical approaches, pedagogical theories and methods, alternative and augmentative communication, cognitive support, or coaching approaches.

You have experience working with individuals with physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities, or mental health issues, and are confident in adapting your support based on the individual's needs and circumstances. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and can absorb information, communicate clearly, and document according to current requirements. You can present a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. You also have the physical ability to perform the tasks included in the assignment.

It is an advantage if you have experience mentoring students, interns, or new colleagues, as well as working with pedagogical methods such as clarifying work methods and alternative communication methods.

As a person, you are structured and work according to a clear process where you plan, organize, and complete your tasks. You are results-oriented and driven by achieving set goals with quality. You are confident in your professional role, stand firm even in uncertain situations, and have the courage to speak up when necessary. At the same time, you are creative, see opportunities in everyday life, find new solutions, and contribute ideas that develop the operations. You are collaborative and have an unpretentious approach where you work towards common goals and a good work climate.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Televägen 1 is a smaller and cohesive operation where several residents live in the same building. The operation is characterized by close collaboration, clear structures, and shared responsibility in everyday life.

The work focuses on preventive measures through relationship-building, structure, and a common approach within the staff group. Everyday life can be both calm and active, with joint activities and daily chores. Meals such as lunch and dinner are prepared together, and everyone in the workgroup helps out.

The operation is in a startup phase. The workgroup will consist of about ten employees who together staff the operation around the clock. Collaboration is characterized by close dialogue, shared responsibility, and continuity as a foundation.

GOOD TO KNOW

The position is subject to a requirement for a background check according to the law. Before a possible job offer, you must present an extract from the criminal record for work with elderly persons or persons with disabilities. You are responsible for ordering the correct extract from the Police Authority.
